What Christmas is all about

Greetings, friends.  We’ve been away from the blog for awhile as we took our first vacation, heading outside of the City for the first time, north to the Tip of Borneo.

At teh northenmost point of the island of Borneo, the South China Sea meets the Sulu Sea.

We returned on December 21 – with 3 days to unpack from a camping adventure, then prepare for Christmas, celebrate my birthday, and center our spirits for a wonderful holy-day.

You can imagine that we feel a little time pressure.  You might be feeling it, too.  If so, you need THIS.  Click here for a wonderful video that will really and truly warm your heart.  This is special.  I don’t say that lightly.

There is a point in the video where the angels ask if they can sing over the baby Jesus.  It is so clear that this is their heart’s desire.  This is how I’ve always understood angels – that heaven is a place where nothing distracts us from praising God with our whole being.  All love that we share is connected to our love and praise for God.  That would be heaven, wouldn’t it?

I wish you holidays that connect you to God and to loved ones.  May you receive your heart’s desire, whether it be in praising God, receiving gifts (wrapped and the kind you can’t wrap), and holding near those dear to you.
